Please note that our Sage 50 integration is unavailable in the US or France.
Receipt Bank's integration with Sage 50 uses a downloaded connector that enables data to pass between the two softwares. In this period of remote working brought about by Covid-19 it is important that your software is setup correctly to maintain this connection.
How to work remotely if the Connector is installed on your home laptop or PC
If you have access to Sage 50 on the same computer where the connector is installed the data will still sync as usual provided the machine is switched on and has an active internet connection.
If you connect to your work environment through a VPN (Virtual Private Network) then please ensure this allows the Receipt Bank-Sage 50 connector to sync.
Note: Sage 50 may be installed on a different network path to that in the office when working remotely. For example, the network path may be the ‘N’ drive when connected in the office but the ‘R’ drive when connected remotely. If that is case, you must update the path in the connector to the correct one for working from home. To do so, re-integrate the Receipt Bank account with Sage 50 by following these instructions and make sure the new drive is selected as the data directory.
How to work remotely if the Connector is installed on an office computer
If the computer is still turned on in the office the connector should continue to work as normal, even if you are working on a remote server.
If the office machine is turned off, you must install the connector on your home computer to continue the sync:
1. Uninstall the connector on the office computer if possible. If you are unable to do so it will not affect the following steps provided the machine remains turned off.
2. Re-install the connector on your home computer, where the Sage 50 files are also stored locally.
3. When your return to the office, uninstall the connector from your home computer before attempting to run the sync on your office machine.
