1601: The agent did not respond |
Dext Prepare has lost connection to your desktop software. |
Ensure the Receipt Bank Sync Manager is open and running before trying again. |
1700: There is no company associated with this user |
This error can occur both on syncing and publishing. It happens when you attempt to communicate with a QuickBooks company file that has been deleted or moved. |
Re-integrate QuickBooks Desktop with Dext Prepare by following these instructions before trying again. |
Target is not reimbursable |
This happens when the user selects an account that is not an Expense type account, and publishing it to any customer. |
Change the Category for the account to that of an Expense account before retrying. |
Company data file is already open and it is different |
You will see this if have the wrong QuickBooks company file open or too many files are open. |
Close QuickBooks, and try again. |
Company file is not protected with a complex password | Your QuickBooks company file password isn't complex enough to ensure it is secure. | Update the password for your QuickBooks company file, before trying again. |
The application trying to connect to QuickBooks is not supported while multiple instances of QuickBooks are running | You either have the wrong QuickBooks company file open or too many files are open. | Close QuickBooks, and try again. |
We don’t have permission to access your “<company_name>” company file. Please authorize our application and try again | Dext Prepare is unable to log into the QuickBooks company data file automatically. | Follow the instructions in this article to fix. |

You will see this error if the company file was either renamed, moved or deleted. |
First, attempt to revert the change on the file within QuickBooks Desktop, like returning it to the correct directory.

This is a generic error message coming from QuickBooks, and is on account of tech issues within QuickBooks. |
